Mime Type

The Mime Type button allows you to associate applications with filename extensions. As technology progresses, and new file extensions are created you can add them here. Usually this is something used for very advanced sites that are using bleeding edge programs and software that have not been registered in our system. Here it allows you to enter them. Below is a partial screenshot of what the MIME Types screen looks like.
